Giant October pic dump

October 28th, 2013 by KellyJoe

Hello, so I haven’t kept updated at all so expect a giant pic dump. I attempted to get some nice fall pictures of Al but between his normal rambunctious can’t hold still self and the fact that he’s been plagued with ear infections lately it was hard to get him to sit still long enough for me to get them. Plus I’m still figuring out the camera so yeah.

Those are the best ones I got and that was between 4 different sessions I tried. I got other ones that are pretty good but those are seriously the best I got.

It’s been nice enough until today that Al has been going on bike rides still and greatly enjoying that based on this picture.

Then out of boredom one day we decided to make some play dough. We even went so far to make it fall themed and have it be pumpkin pie scented. It smelled awesome, so awesome that Al kept trying to eat it.

I am not good at mixing food coloring apparently though so it did not turn out a very good color of orange.

We went and hung out at fall super adoption one day too and Al had a ton of fun volunteering and helping walk the dogs.

I got a crazy idea and thought I would attempt to do another fall activity and have him paint with some acorns we got from the park and it started out nice enough..

But then it turned into this..

So I had obviously made a huge mistake.

Last week the leaves finally started falling good and I took him next door to play in the leaves. He wasn’t so much into putting them into a pile as he was totally wrecking the piles I made.

Finally yesterday we took a short easy hike on the Nebo loop.

So other than all that, Al has his third ear infection in the last two months and I’m not really sure whats up with that. Hopefully this final round of antibiotics clears it up and it just stays away because he is crazy moody and clumsy. He’s starting to say more words though and that has been fun. This morning he said cheese stick which was super impressive for a kid who hasn’t said anything to me in the last few weeks besides yes and a very, very indignant no. I’m hoping this talking trend keeps up so we can continue to avoid seeing a speech therapist.

So stuff going on with the pregnancy. I’ve felt pretty jacked up since I rescued that stupid cats life and my back has been hurting a lot lately. I don’t think I’m gonna go into labor anytime soon but I do think this baby is going to end up being early just based off how I feel. I have an appointment coming up on Friday so I’ll bring everything up with the doctor and see what he has to say on the matter. Plus glucose test, yayyy.. The day after Halloween. Huge mistake!

And thats basically everything. We don’t have a huge amount planned for Halloween and will probably just keep it simple this year since I’m feeling very swollen with child. I’ll try to do better keeping up with this, and I’ll even try to not have that be an empty promise.

October Kick-off

Well, I’m a week late and for that I am sorry-but you know, not really. Anyway, I had my doctors appointment and that went well. Everything is looking good and the heartbeat sounds good. I need to get another ultrasound though because they couldn’t get a good look at his face so I’m hoping to get that done this month. My next appointment isn’t until November 1st and unfortunately that is the not so fun appointment where I get to take my glucose test hooray. So when I get the results from that I’ll be sure to let everyone know.

Decided it would be good to get more camera practice in so I took Al out back with some of the pumpkins. I got him to pose for a little while before he lost interest. I’m hoping to do another Halloween shoot of him later this month except in his Halloween costume maybe with some mini pumpkins but we’ll see what happens.

We got some fun sensory play in by painting a pumpkin. Al was super into it and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately the day after he painted it, it happened to get snowed/rained on so it isn’t as good looking but we can always repaint it.

Friday I decided to do a kid friendly movie for the horror-thon and we watched Hocus Pocus together and shared a pumpkin smoothie. Unfortunately I have a terrible habit of not following directions a lot of the time when it comes to making things and the smoothie came out way way way too pumpkiny. I didn’t get any pictures of that fun adventure but I did get pictures of him beating on a drum that my mom thought would be fun to leave at my house. yeah, mom super fun. Super. Fun.

At least he had a good time though.

I’ve got some fun stuff planned for this month so I will have something to talk about hopefully next week and I’ll keep everyone updated on how things are going.
